Erna Rockwood, a lifelong Austin, Texas resident, was born in 1911 to Kathe and Sigmund Guttman. The collection consists of three scrapbooks spanning the years 1923 to 1993 composed principally of photographs, correspondence and other memorabilia highlighting her thirty-six year career with Sears, Roebuck and Company.

A native of Austin, Erna Guttman Rockwood was born April 2, 1911, to Kathe and Sigmund Guttman. She attended Palm Elementary School, John T. Allan High School and Austin High School. She married Robert F. Rockwood. Rockwood started working at the Sears, Roebuck and Company Congress Avenue store in 1936 in the Cashiering Department.
